Microblading eyebrows
Admittedly there were some horrendous results with tattooed eyebrows, that’s why so many women avoid the two terms together nowadays. But microblading eyebrows is a very different technique which leaves eyebrows shaped, toned and (very) realistic - unlike the thick colored in blocks with tattoos. This technique became very popular and in demand within the last couple of years in the West, while in Asia this technique has been around for approximately 25 years.
The purpose of microblading is not to ‘color’ in your brows corner to corner, but to rather draw on realistically, one by one hair-like strokes, creating true eyebrow effect. Women who do not have full brows or underwent the skinny brow trend seek this treatment to fix up their brows. Microblading eyebrows can be used to fill in some areas, or draw on new brows completely as well, depending on what your face needs. The most astonishing part about microblading is that although it is semi-permanently drawn on, it does not look unrealistic or anywhere near tacky unlike tattooed brows.
Eyebrows microblading is an investment as it is not a low cost treatment, and it is not permanent either. Every 6 months to a year touch up will be necessary as the ink will begin to fade. It will also take approximately two sessions for you to achieve your go-to brows. Many women turn to this technique even with the high cost is because you do not have to touch up or worry about your brows for longer periods of times, unlike when you thread or wax. It can be viewed as a longer term outcome when it comes to grooming your brows.
The actual process may be a little painful and the ‘recovery’ make take week for the redness and some excess strokes to fade away. There is always a slight chance for the client to not like their new look, but if that does happen to you, do not panic. Eyebrows microblading can be touched up and fixed - letting it fade as much as possible in order for the esthetician to neutralize the skin color with other strokes refined. Because it is a technique made to look natural, your brows will not be drawn on exactly and measured out, it will look very similar but not identical (unless you ask for that, but many will advice against it). This is because brows are naturally a little different from one another.
If you think microblading eyebrows is something meant for you, then do not waste your time and go in for a discussion with a local aesthetician, and hopefully you will walk away happier than ever.
